trying to build the latest arroyo code with docker compose hosting the postgres db.

Hello Team.

I am trying to see if i can compile arroyo on my desk. I was hoping doing cargo build would be enough. I did make sure i have a db running locally (under docker compose). My assumption is this has maybe something to do with how i am running postgres based on that error.

Any hints will be greatly appreciated

Hey @ymolists — thanks for checking out Arroyo. Have you taken a look at the developer setup docs: https://doc.arroyo.dev/developing/dev-setup?

From that error, it looks like you need to run the refinery migration scripts to create the tables, as described here: https://doc.arroyo.dev/developing/dev-setup#postgres.

I was actually reading that page and went back to it you mentioned it. The wording could be more instructional or maybe you could introduce a set of steps. Maybe its my reading (as non native english speaker) but maybe the wording here could be more imperative ? As in do 1,2,3 ...

Migrations are managed using [refinery](https://github.com/rust-db/refinery). Once Postgres is set up, you can initalize it with
