When not using universal-io (see issue #86) on the 4.1 kernel, PyBBIO needs to have both 3.8 and 4.1 compatible overlays to use for pinmuxing. This means either:

  • Ensuring the current overlays are compatible with both 3.8 and 4.1 kernels or
  • Making a new set of 4.1 compatible overlays and copying and loading the appropriate versions for the running kernel
