The documentation for filemanager should probably include some diagrams that help explain the database design, alongside the existing documentation of the crates. Ideally, design documents specified in Google drive should also be ported over to the repository so that all documentation is in a central location.

I think this would probably be re-worded to fit under another .md file, maybe DESIGN.md/GOALS.md?
